Recycle Waste Wisely is a web-based application developed as part of the Orbit Future Academy program. The project aims to promote responsible waste management by providing users with practical guidance on recycling and proper waste disposal. The application features a user-friendly interface that allows users to categorize their waste efficiently. It utilizes data-driven insights to suggest optimal recycling methods based on the type of waste, whether it’s plastic, paper, metal, or organic material. Additionally, users can access educational resources to enhance their knowledge about sustainable practices. One of the standout features of the system is the integration of community-based recycling initiatives, allowing users to collaborate and share tips on waste reduction. The application also tracks user contributions to recycling efforts, fostering a sense of community responsibility. The project incorporates an AI-powered waste classification system, leveraging a trained model using MobileNet V2. This model efficiently classifies different waste types from user-uploaded images, enabling accurate identification and appropriate recycling suggestions. By leveraging modern web technologies and AI integration, Recycle Waste Wisely empowers users to make environmentally conscious decisions, ultimately contributing to a cleaner and greener environment.
